About the Internal Complaints Committee

The Internal Complaints Committee (ICC) is constituted in accordance with the Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace (Prevention, Prohibition and Redressal) Act, 2013. The Committee is committed to providing a safe, secure, inclusive, and gender-sensitive environment for students, faculty members, non-teaching staff, and all stakeholders of the institution.

What Constitutes Sexual Harassment?

  • Unwelcome physical contact or advances.
  • Demand or request for sexual favours.
  • Sexually coloured remarks.
  • Showing offensive or inappropriate material.
  • Verbal, non-verbal, or physical conduct of a sexual nature.
  • Any behaviour creating an intimidating or hostile environment.

Complaint Redressal Procedure

  • Submission of written complaint to the ICC.
  • Registration and acknowledgment of complaint.
  • Preliminary review by the Committee.
  • Inquiry while maintaining confidentiality.
  • Preparation of inquiry report and recommendations.
  • Submission to competent authority for action.
  • Follow-up and monitoring of implementation.
